Oli otya? Gyendi! – Uganda I

I recently traveled to Uganda, where Yael -the amazing woman that I'm fortunate to share my life with these days - is now working. Uganda is in the East side of Africa, just over the Equator and its your best bet for getting to know a bit of Africa if it's your first time there. (continues)

Uganda
For those of you who don't know I'm going to Uganda, now you know :). I got my new very-cheap-not-so-sharp Tamrom 70-300mm which will try to get me closer to the some "wild" life. For now you will have to settle just with this...

Dead planes

A quite impressive collection of pictures from a quite impressive place. Mojave Air and Spaceport is one of the only locations where planes are scrapped but at the same time pilots are trained. Ransom Riggs found it long time ago, but the other day he met someone that actually works there.

Endless interestingness

Interestingness is what Flickr calls a collection of pictures that has been - mostly automatically - selected from all over the pictures that the service hosts. Endless Interestingness basically shows all those pictures in and endless grid so you can get endless inspiration.

Tijuana

GOOD has published mild compilation of what is going on in Tijuana, the epicentre of the war declared between the drug cartels and the Mexican Government. Tijuana is less than 30km from San Diego - California - but the gradient from poverty and chaos to wealth and solvency could well be the highest in the world.

Magnum Photos
Yael met somebody the other day working for Magnum Photos, a very interesting photographers co-operative owned by the photographers themselves. The agency operates world wide and provides photographs to the press, publishers, advertising, television, galleries and museums while the rights on those pictures are help in the photographer.
I believe that in today's world of information and trading with it, there is a great value just on the fact that this project managed to survive and develop.

Out of bounds

When the bounds of the frame of a picture are too much, "out of bound" photography comes to the rescue.
